Scott County Unified School District Reviews
The current High School Principal is fully awful, but most of the current teachers are very dedicated and care about their students. The math program is currently struggling because many of the teachers have retired/moved recently, but the current teachers are working very hard to catch up. The teachers are very personable and will fight hard to give their students a good education, but do not expect the Principal, Vice Principal, or Counselor to fight for your child, at least in the high school. If your problem will make them look better to the school board/superintendent expect to be treated as royalty, but if you are just worried about lowly things such as questions about grades, bullying, or the frequent drug deals happening in the hallways rather than things like athletic funding or community events do not expect any assistance.
The school district is a very supportive group that thinks about the children and students first and foremost. The sports programs teach young athletes to be better people rather than better athletes. The football teams motto is "I am Second" meaning, "I am Second to my faith, family, and my team."
