Scott County School District No. 2 Reviews
The best part about my experience at Scottsburg High School was the faculty. I had wonderful teachers who cared about their students and they showed this through the effort they put into their lessons. The curriculum is challenging for a high school level but is definitely beneficial if effort is given. Scottsburg also provides a great variety of extracurricular clubs and activities. This school takes great care in giving students a full experience to develop them into passionate adults that will continue a lifelong process of learning.
Reach students at all levels. Elementary schools all rate excellent scores Middle school is awesome. Administration and teachers are great. High school encourages all to get involved is something. athletics are growing rapidly in all sports. The new tech classes are really producing some great results. The counselling department is great with lots of scholarships being awarded each year. That is probably the area things are growing the most. Attempting to gain scholarships for as many students as possible.
From the three and a half semesters I have been here as a freshman, it's...okay. The teachers aren't grade A+ by any stretch of the imagination, there are drug issues, and a C in your report card here is an F anywhere else, but the teachers and staff are friendly and will help in way possible. They are sweet and would protect all of their kids no matter what. They always let us have fun when we deserve it and I promise, most of the freshman I am friends with will do good someday, and if they stay home, they will help this community. I hope one day my little city will become something greater then it is today, and I think it will be. I have hope....maybe too much, but I have it.
