We have excellent academics and resources, but poor school spirit with strict rules and no leniency. This school prepares us for college academically but does not require classes that teach us how to be an adult. Important life lessons such as money management, adult responsibilities, etc...although they do make these classes available I personally believe they should be required. But we all pay a price, low school spirit refrains from horseplay and misbehavior and results in high safety as well as a push to focus on our education.
The educational level that the school town of Munster is one of the best in the region but the atmosphere for minorities is diffidently the worst. Caucasian Munster students have often used racial slurs or have be discriminatory towards the minority students. When students bring up these problems to administration they ignore it and do not ask the punish the student that was saying these degrading remarks. Administration claims that all students are equally but a white student does not get the same punishment as a black or Hispanic student. Students and some administration racially profile students and give them harsher punishment than their other classmates.
