Scarborough School Department Reviews
I liked all the teachers and college placement staff and the great job they did with getting students ready for college. The one thing I would change with the Scarborough school department would be to allow the teachers to have more of a voice with changes in the school. The big changes in the district created some division among teachers and the administrative staff and the community as a whole. Some changes were driven by the state but others could have been easily changed based on staff and some student feedback. Either way staff doesn’t always get heard by upper level administration.
The environment is very friendly and welcoming. Teachers are always willing to work with you outside of class in order to help you become more sucessful. There are many different clubs and organizations through the school that allow you to get involved in the school and community. Finally, at Scarborough High School there is a lot of school spirit which makes athletic games and events very exciting.
I had a really good high school experience. I enjoyed being part of multiple clubs and sports. Scarborough has a lot of supportive teachers and coaches. We also have multiple resources provided to the students to help us be as successful as possible. The biggest issue with our school is the lack of diversity. We do not have a lot of ethnicities and races in our community.
