Sayre Area School District Reviews
Most of the sport teams are struggling to stay from lack of volunteers/involvement. Some of the teachers are gems but more than half could care less. There are some pretty good opportunities with clubs such as FBLA and Speech and Debate which went to nationals last year! Very little diversity, and the special Ed kids only interact with us during lunch and gym classes. I feel safe here so that's not a problem. Academics could be a lot better, but the teachers ARE trying most of the time.
Going to Sayre was not horrible. Most of the teachers are kind and genuinely want to see you succeed. The food is pretty good and the lunch ladies are extremely kind. Sadly, there aren't many disciplines, which leads to a huge bullying and harassment problem that is left ignored by the administration. There are also not many opportunities as far as academic wise, and this school does not prepare you for college very well.
Sayre High School has a positive energy, with maybe the occasional jerk, but overall a lot of fun people. The teachers teach very well, they're interactive and give a nice vibe. The guidance office is very helpful for general advice and needs in regards to college. Overall, great school.
