I enjoyed my experience at Saugus High. Why you might ask, because they care about there students. We are not just a student ID number, we are there student.. They remember us by name, teachers here are committed to excellence, they go above and beyond to help you. This school also helps you get ready for College, they have functions to help you as a student and your parents start preparing for college, PSAT testing on site, practice help, tutor classes, even late tutoring for football players, and informational meeting about all aspects of college. Helping filling out the Financial aid paper work. I guess you can say I’m lucky because I’m attending a High School I’m proud to be apart of.

My time at Saugus has been a mixed bag. On one hand,I have had several wonderful dedicated teachers who go out of their way to ensure that I am reaching my potential. On the other hand, I have seen a system that does not encourage kids in the regular classes to try for anything extraordinary and instead continue in a vein of mediocrity. Essentially, if you aren't in AP classes, it is hard to find teachers who put in the efforts to help students go beyond their basic expectations.
I have had an amazing experience. Majority of the teachers in this district are committed to bettering the future of their students. I loved how it felt as if the students were a unit. Though, I would change the politics on campus, if you are going to teach it, you need to teach both sides.
