I have attended this school all 4 years, and compared to other public schools I the area, I am grateful to have gone here. There are many teachers that help students whenever necessary, it is a safe environment, and they're plenty of clubs and sports for students to participate in. With that being said, there are a few negatives. I know students who have gotten in trouble for something, and the administration had BARELY given them a chance to explain their side of the story. If you're a sophomore or junior who drives to school, the parking situation is very limited and unsafe. Underclassmen have to park BLOCKS away from the school. The school however is very clean, and the food is good.

My experience at Saratoga Springs High school was above all, a pleasant experience in which I learned responsibility, commitment, and the importance of community.

I have Panic Disorder and Generalized Depression. My teachers were always understanding and supportive despite what I was struggling with. While many teachers could have just heard my difficulties as excuses for laziness, my mental health was taken seriously.

Although SSHS is not the the most diverse school, consisting mostly of white students, in critical thinking classes we learned and discussed issues that affect people of all backgrounds throughout the country.

Not only did Saratoga Springs High School prepare me for my studies in college as a communications major, but it helped me cultivate a passion that motivates to continue learning and pursue my education.
My experience at Saratoga was not at all bad and there is not a whole lot to complain about. However one comment I would make is that though the school offers many Ap a or “college level”, classes they often seem less to not prepare you in the least for college. What they teach at Saratoga is learn, memorize and test on exactly those things. Ends up giving you an easy grade but fails to prepare you for college and the reall world where you have to think for yourself and solve problems that you weren’t just shown how to solve the day before. The teachers were nice, and it’s probably the safest school district in the region I just wish it had done a better job of preparing people for the real world.
