Sangamon Valley Community Unit School District No. 9 Reviews
Sangamon Valley is a very small high school. As expected from a small school, it does not get a large budget by any means. However, the teachers are all invested in each of their students and it is easy to be acquainted with students outside and inside your grade. Despite the small size, there are plenty of extracurriculars, including several fine arts such as dancing and art. The school is also very safe. The entire four years I was at Sangamon Valley, I heard of one fight that got physical. The science rooms were recently renovated.
This is a small school in a small community. This school is great at the arts but lacks in classes. They have an outstanding Band director and have one many competitions for our size. We have two plays a year. For academics the school only offers one AP class.
Small town school but the teachers genuinely care. Might not be the fanciest school, but I enjoyed my time there.
