Sandy valley is a very loving and friendly school. I loved all of the teachers there, they are always there to help you grow our education, and they are always there for help. I would like to see less kids getting bullied and more help from the school with that. Another thing I really love about sandy valley, is the community, everyone helps each other out, there is never a moment where anyone is alone. The administration always makes sure we have everything we need, and the we are always safe. My favorite thing about sandy valley is all of our fundraisers we do to support our community. Every year we have a lip sync battle against students and teachers. This is how we raise money to support some of our clubs. The safety at sandy valley is very high, there was only one moment that I have ever felt unsafe and they reassured everyone in a matter of seconds. Sandy valley is very welcoming to anyone and everyone. Teachers are so friendly and heart warming.
Sandy Valley is a small school filled with big heart and is getting us ready for life beyond the nest.
They have been inviting students from other schools to try out there programs such as their agriculture and horticulture program and their floral arts class
The teachers are fantastic and really care about the kids. The are plenty of opportunities for extracurricular activities for every interest. Athletics, the Arts, Academic clubs - something for everyone!
Well I’m a junior and I love it! The teachers are the best and I already fell ready to go on to college even though I still have a lot to learn. The school is nice and new with people who are on stand by to help fix anything. I love this school!!
I loved Sandy Valley because it is such a close knit, supportive community. However, there is not a high turnover of college students- which is okay because college isn't for everyone- but due to this, I have noticed through my first year of college that very few classes, teachers, opportunities or even the diversity prepared students for higher education and experiences. I felt behind when I got to college. Even though I am providing this constructive criticism, I couldn't imagine going anywhere else because of the atmosphere of such a community. I know that I will always be welcome home and supported by these people because they are family and I have seen countless examples of us all coming together for one person.
My school is something that is very close to me, after all I spent about 13 years there. The school has many opportunities for people to express their own opinion and find an extracurricular activity that fits for them. Also, the school doesn't judge if you do not choose to involve in extracurricular activities. Sandy Valley brings in more people every year from other schools because of the opportunities it gives for academics. We have a wide variety of college classes and going to post-secondary schools like RG Drage, which has many amazing programs. I just wish to see a change in our disciplinary system. We seem to let things go, which we should be punishing kids for not following the rules rather then the 3 strike system.
Sandy Valley is a very close community, which can be both good and also bad. It is good because everyone knows everyone. Sandy Valley is surrounded by safe, small towns. There is also lots of families, almost as if everyone is related with only a few outcasts, people who aren't related. The bad part about this close family community is that if a teacher knows you, then you can get a better grade on a paper than someone else who is not part of the, "big" family. It has always seemed unfair to me because I am the student who is unrelated and does not have the big, "name" in this school. Other than that I would say that Sandy Valley is a great school, I would just love to see some judgement on students change.
