Sand Creek Community Schools Reviews
I love my school. It's as simple as that! As a school of choice student, I can go anywhere in my area. However, if I was given a choice, I would stay right where I am! Everybody knows just about everybody in the school, and if you don't, anyone is friendly enough to talk to. With about 70 students graduating per class on average, you get a family feel to it, which isn't the same in many other schools in our area. We might not be the best at sports, except for the cross country team, but we all still have fun going to support our teams no matter what. As for academics, when you know every student that sits in a classroom very well, it gets easier to teach individually for each kid, rather than a broad lesson plan that leaves people behind. Relationships can easily be built with the teachers and help is always there.
Sand Creek has a wide vat of teachers that are amazing. They are always willing to listen to the students and most of the time, the students aren't acting in ways of bullying. The academic standards are high and while the school does focus more on sports, it would be better if they focused more on their fine arts, to bring them more attention.
Overall not a totally bad school, from just moving here it was hard to fit in to this very family and community oriented school and felt like an outsider for awhile. I'm in lots of activities and that definitely helped people warm up to me!
