My experience at San Mateo High School was very positive, yet not fulfilling. I had a gratifying experience outside of high school with club sports teams, which kept me going through the intense academic courses. The teachers are great friends and will continue to be so especially after graduation. You form very close bonds with the people around you, but you have to be motivated and self-advocating in order to get the full high school experience.

I love San Mateo High School District! It's had many academic achievements there and very sociable when it comes to school participants volunteering for local events.
What I like about the San Mateo Union High School District is their unwavering support of everyone, no matter the color of skin or their beliefs, and that everyone is treated equally. They also do a great job educating us and it really seems like they take very good care of all their schools. Something I would like to see change however is their dealings with new schools in their district, like Summit Shasta. They seem to be very complacent of the new school and don't pay much attention. Also they wanted the school to move on campus at Terra Nova which would make no sense due to the location of some the hard working students attending Summit Shasta. Overall However, they do a good job educating the students.
