I like San Leandro Unified School District because there is a lot of diversity. You see people from various backgrounds with lively stories. The teachers as well as the counselors are eager to speak to the students. Over the years there have been many changes to accommodate the time that students can get help from teachers in assignments and to improve their tests scores. In the library the hours have extended so students can find a place after school to spend the time relaxing, reading, doing homework, etc. There's now a supper program providing food after school for free to students with extra curricular activities. This is helpful because many students need to replenish themselves for the day ahead of them. There are still ongoing activities to help the students with their work so they can finish with flying colors and relieved smiles.

My 4 year experience at San Leandro High school was amazing! Something that I really enjoyed and loved about it was the passion our principles have for our future and the help, love, and support they provide to all students.
I love going to school in San Leandro for a number of reason. However, the one thing that stands out the most to me are our Co- Principals (the Richardsons). Although they are both down to earth, relatable and want to make sure the students have a fun and safe environment to learn, they are also about making sure that the students know the importance of getting an education. I also know that, not just by their words but their actions, they are passionate about doing all they can to make sure that the students are successful.
