Having been an SGUSD student from 2nd grade to high school graduation, this school district has been my inspiration for pursuing a higher education. The schools in this district, from elementary to high school, are diverse and place great emphasis on academics and extracurricular participation. Along with providing safe and effective studying environments, SGUSD has been a very positive influence on my academic career.

I liked the diversity of the schools but there weren't that many opportunities within the community for expansion. I would like to see the change in teaching staff and the food provided. The food that has been provided for the past years I have been in the district have been poor, resulting in more students bringing their own lunches. Some of the teaching staff doesn't seem to be preparing their students for the upcoming years or for college. The district itself is pretty good, and the high school is a good environment for the most part, they just have to enforce no drugs.
I would say the overall experience is of an average high school with the exception of a very lacking diversity. There is not much diversity in the school leaving many classes to be highly dominant with one race other than minorities. The teachers are average but would have to agree that there are the special few who make the experience all the better as they go above and beyond with their job and make the class better than the rest. This is in part because most teachers do the bare minimum
