San Bernardino City Unified School District Reviews
My overall experience in San Bernardino City Unified School District was fairly good. I’m my opinion I love the connection that the teachers and students can have, just based on the area that we live in. We understand the struggle that living in San Bernardino can have. Some things that I would like to see change is probably the equipment that the district supplies the schools. I believed that the better equipment either in technology or supplies would improvement the pace the students are learning. Hopefully the negative stigma around San Bernardino Schools will disappear.
San Bernardino City Unified School District did not prepare me for the transition from high school to university. My high school's academics were set very low in order to increase the graduation rate, but many students who graduate do not fully master their fundamentals in basic English and mathematics. Many students who are considered " college-bound" are not left behind to completing the college admission process by themselves with no academic support from the school system in order to be successful once attending university.
The district is very large and diverse with a very welcoming setting. I attend middle college high school and the teachers here are very helpful. I’m very comfortable going to any teacher for help as I feel like I have a connection to all of them. Aside from my school it self, I have went to the district office multiple times for some help and the people working there were really nice and ready to help any one who jumped through the doors. I went in, got help and left in a timely manner. I greatly appreciate the district for connecting students like me to middle college, where the average student is challenging him or herself all the time. Overall I love my experience with my district
