Russell County Public Schools Reviews
It's a small town, so everybody knows everybody. The school spirit is much more prevalent here than others, even when the kids aren't always liking of one another. Some teachers are exceptional and genuinely care about the student and their role in their lives. That being said, some teachers are undereducated, judgemental, downright deameaning, and should not work with children of any age. Many of their policies are contradictory and based on who is breaking which policy. They are too cheap with the food, which is often something different for each lunch group since they run out of whatever they're serving. Some of the teachers themselves often act childish and unorganized, and nothing is done to fix it and it makes it much more difficult for the students to succeed.
I love the teaching environment. The teachers are intelligent and know exactly what to teach. They also take the time to get to know the student in which they are teaching. The teachers, staff, and coaches are all very personal with you. They do not care to give out cell phone numbers for school purposes or talk about their personal lives. In other words, if a student is struggling in any way, they are willing to take the time and help. The only complaint I might have are that extracurricular activities have a bit of favoritism. Don't get me wrong, that comes with every school. Students are treated fairly in academics, and for the most part in sports. Great school and great people among it!
I have been in Russell County Schools since 5th grade and I am a Junior now. I have had the best teachers and school staff. They have always made sure my needs have been met, they always had clubs that I could be part of, I have been part of Sports at my school and I feel that my education and all around experiences with Russell County Public School System has been the best years of my life and I am looking forward to graduation and furthering my education in College! Thanks to Russell County School and all of the people who stayed involved in my education and seeing it through to help me get there!!! I am successful and I will continue to be successful!
