Roy Public Schools Reviews

2 reviews
I have been going to school at Roy since I was in Kindergarten, and each year has been a great experience. The classes are small, I am in a class of four, but it is an advantage to have small class sizes. The small classes allow the one on one that a student needs in order to succeed. The teachers are always fun and outgoing about learning. They become more of a friend than a teacher. The food here is great too! The cook often makes homemade recipes since the size of classes is so small. The downside to Roy is that we have very limited extracurricular activities. For sports, we co-op with the neighboring school and travel often to practice and games. The small town atmosphere is very supportive toward athletes, and school spirit is not lacking. I have been happy to spend my years growing up in the small community. I have made close friends that will last a lifetime and earned a great education.

Roy is a rural school that offers a unique experience, however it is limited for culture or extracuricular experience. The teachers here always have the students welfare in mind, yet they do very little to help the student prepare for college or the adult world. I feel that Roy has the opportuinty to be an amazing environment for students, but they need to work to help the youth prepare to be successful in college.
