I have been enrolled in the Rowland Unified School Distinct since I began Pre-School and up until my Senior Year. My whole educational career here has been great! They offer so much support and have a variety of programs for all types of students. Ever since I was in elementary school, I enjoyed of a dual immersion (bilingual)program from the 1-6th grade. This allowed me to become fluent in Spanish and expand my knowledge by learning all the subjects in both English and Spanish. When I entered high school there was a variety of new programs that would prepare you for college and the real world. These programs such as AVID and Senior Seminar as well as career pathways you can choose, help you discover what type of work you are good at or are interested of pursuing in the future. Overall, my educational experience was fantastic here.

Teachers and officers are very nice and helpful, and they are really patient even though my parents are not English speaker. And they really care about our academic progresses in each semester. Moreover, there is a organization in our district, which is for non-English speakers to learn about our community and our schools; this organization is really helpful and meaningful because most of our parents could not speak English well, so they can learn from that organization, including American university systems and what is happening in our community.
My experience with Rowland Unified is very positive I was given support and guidance throughout my education. Most of the teachers are very helpful and encouraging, helping students reach their full potential. Some teacher do have a tendency of not aid their students expand their knowledge often seen in the mathematic department and chemistry department. As their are major budget cuts and lack of funding in the arts such as band, orchestra, choir, etc. I would like to see an improvement in the funding of the arts allowing students to be creative, allowing them to express them selves in and artistic form, as well as going skills that would be applicable in other areas of eduction and life. Additionally there is a lack of free expression within the school which restricts the formation of new clubs, and hinders students ability to develop. Overall my experience with the Rowland Unified school district has been enjoyable; being able to become a well educated individual.
