I personally have been in Round Rock ISD since 6th grade and with the two schools that I went to, I feel that overall they were pretty much the same. Both were older schools that needed lots of renovations and maintenance to be done. Additionally, while in high school, the school itself was falling apart right in front of us. We had huge caves underneath all parts of the school that could collapse at any moment and floor tiles that were coming up everywhere, sinks falling off of walls and a huge rat/ cockroach problem. But even despite all these terrible things that the school had going on, I still love it and was happy to call It home for the past 4 years!

RRISD is really good at changing what they see fit to change. The board of trustees and the superintendent are all very competent and intelligent people. Without fail every year there is a security risk but Its due to American culture and individuals student's fault and every time it is handled very well. My only recommendation is to scale back SROS research indicated they instigate violence more than they deescalate. Their presence is threatening to all students and is unnecessary at the level the amount of money and resources that has been wasted on police officer presence. RRISD is very well funded and at rrhs all students are eligible to receive chrome books, making it easy to make the switch to online school.
The Round Rock Independent School District is improving as the years go on. The school district takes great pride within their prepping for State tests, any extracurricular activities, and their schools environments!
