Roseville Joint Union High School District Reviews
I love the Roseville Joint Union High School District! I love how it prepares me for every situation. Recently with all the school closures, I feel like my school specifically: Granite Bay High School, has prepared its students really well, by introducing and integrated the use of online resources into the curriculum. Additionally, I love the muffins in the vending machines, as well as, the cookies that are offered in the cafeteria.
This school district has its ups and downs. But for the most part this is one of the best in the local Sacramento area. All of the teachers that I have had were competent in teaching and knowledge of their material and they are always friendly with their students. Clubs in this school are student managed, but they for the most part are self sufficient, meaning that they don't rely on the schools money, but they fund themselves in any way they can. The school has a strong sports program with golf, baseball and football being notable examples. The school diversity is typical of its area with most of the students being Caucasians, but with a sizable minority of Filipinos. The school has an excellent science, technology and math program. New labs have been constructed, New math books introduced and computer updates during my time there. In all I would recommend this school to anybody.
The schools themselves are fair, but the teachers are very nice! The education provided if good, especially because the teachers provide many ways to receive help at the schools along with multiple outside resources for those who need extra help. In my opinion there are multiple opportunities for students to escape their comfort zone and try new things, however there are still ways in which the counselors could provide further information for the students to have in mind about college and prerequisites for certain classes/majors. Overall the schools in this district are pretty good, as they provide multiple opportunities for the future and motivate them to push their limits.
