As a student who has been enrolling in the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan Independent School District 196 for about 12 years now, my overall experience with the district was been very splendid over the years. The curriculum taught by the schools in the district prepares students for the next level of education but ultimately, helps students reach their maximum potential for education after high school if they choose to pursue that path. Independent School District is ran by a wonderful superintendent, Jane Berenz and a great body of administrators that care about the students' education and safety. I would like to go into our district's motto: "One District. Infinite Opportunities." Here in Independent School District 196, there are endless opportunities in which students can learn and grow while being reinforce by a cohesive support system of faculties. The administration's goal is to expose students to the infinite possibilities within the district.

I've been a student in district 196 for all 12 years of my education. Between my siblings and I, we've gone to 4 of the schools in the district, I've also done extensive volunteer work within other schools in the district. District 196's dedication to education is obvious. They use their resources wisely to implement technology into the school system, creating a more efficent environment. The teachers do their best to prepare students for their future, with a strong emphasis in the growing STEM fields. I've experienced I wide variety of teaching styles as well as been required to diversify my transcript. These have prepared me for any teachings or classes I may experience as a college student. Teachers in this district are also very caring and strive to see their students succeed.
Looking back at my four years in high school I can say I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Rosemount High School. Academically, I enrolled myself in all honors and AP classes at Rosemount High School and found myself extremely prepared for college classes. However, during my senior year I took a regular economics class for fun and realized the disparity between the education and quality of students in the advanced classes and the regular level classes. I also took part in choir for 3 years and athletics in 4 years. I had a good experience in athletics (soccer and basketball specifically), but a lot of the surrounding high schools, like Eagan and Lakeville, had more competitive teams- something to keep in mind.
