Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan Independent School District No. 196 Reviews
District 196 is wonderful. They have engaged teachers that are with you in every step of your learning process. Also district 196 has many clubs and athletics so every student can find something to participate in. Many opportunities are within district 196! All the staff want to make things possible for you. Not only is the staff good, but the students make the school what it is. All the students are united even though the schools are so populated.
Eagan High School is one of the best schools in Minnesota. I like the teachers and their school is very hard on you at first. But they do that so you can be ready for college. They have this program called AVID, which teach you more about college and how to be more prepared for it. Their food is also pretty good, they give you 3 hot lunch options, a soup bar, a salad bar, and they also have their own a la carte station too. Most of the food is good! Their teachers are nice and some are strict! But if you're serious about your work, they are very helpful. I also love the amount of sports and clubs they have. They have football, soccer, hockey, pingpong, wrestling, volleyball, etc. And for clubs, they have French club, Spanish club, faith club, debate, and much more. You can also create your own club too. I think one of the few cons about this school is it lack of diversity... but they are working on that!
Although this quaint district in Minnesota could very well be considered to lack diversity and very much normal, it could also be regarded in its comfort and safety. The independent school district 196 provides students with the basic opportunities to learn and thrive, and the benchmark idea of what it is to go through school. A few staff that I have dealt with have been pleasant and helpful, while others were quite the opposite, resulting in a hit or miss type of environment. Some hold their occupation with great care and meticulousness, and others simply don’t really care that much to put it bluntly. The programs are overall well-run in district 196, with a myriad of clubs and activities to partake in and enjoy. But then again, some of these activities are run quite well, while others with unpreparedness and seemingly laziness. One big issue I carry about district 196 (or maybe just a particular high school within it) is the extreme lack of diversity and accountability for racism.
