Rootstown Local School District Reviews
One thing I liked about Rootstown Schools is the relationships that you can have with the faculty and staff. The administration is also very approachable and have always been able to assist and the teachers genuinely care about their students and their well being. I wish there was more opportunity for student involvement. There are the basics, such as band, choir and sports but there is no other real clubs or student organizations to participate in. This I believe is due to lack of student involvement and the culture of the students. There is no real school spirit or willingness to become involved in the student body.
The things I liked about Rootstown School District are that we were such a small school that if something happened, we all came together as not only a community, but a family. The staff at Rootstown was very understanding and very helpful when one of our very loved classmates passed away. The school was WONDERFUL. They brought in grief counselors, they made a memorial rock for the memorial garden, they do memorial games in her remembrance, but most importantly, they didn't let her get forgotten. They still have her memories around the school and that was the best thing for us students to cope with, was seeing a little bit of her everywhere we went.
Rootstown school district is excellent! Most of the teachers are dedicated to teaching the students. Sports and other extra curricular activities are always offered and encouraged. The school spirit shines through, calling themselves the "Rover Family," which is true if you've ever attend a sporting event, you will see it for yourself.
