Throughout the years, have enjoyed Rockwoods leadership and their engagement in their community. It feels like the district makes an effort to provide a nurturing environment for their students to achieve the greatest they can academically and prepares them for their life outside of school. I feel as though they make efforts to promote diversity, such as holding clinics and assemblies and getting input from their students regularly. However, I still believe with the world we live in today, more can be done to promote diversity and equality among students to get them better prepared for the real world, equipped with empathy and understanding. Overall, Rockwood has been a great environment
I think Rockwood was an inclusive district that worked to cover all needs of students. Rockwood is constantly changing and expanding to suit the needs of all students. teachers tend to be helpful and easy to communicate with about issues of all kinds. Rockwood has great consolers that can and will take care of all arising issues through all years within a Rockwood district school. I would like to see more freedom given to students, especially high school students who are learning to be independent adults.
Rockwood School District provides an excellent learning atmosphere with great teachers that play both a mentoring and supporting role for all students. All schools that I have been to (Woerther Elementary, Selvidge Middle School, and Marquette High School) are kept really clean and safe. Speaking of safety, the Rockwoods safety initiative is amazing. Almost all schools have a dedicated officer that paroles that area to ensure the safety of all students and staff. Along with this, Rockwood has monthly drills set for certain situations, like fire drills, earthquake drills, tornado drills, and intruder drills. Another key factor the Rockwood has is its diversity. In high school specifically, there are all sorts of inclusive clubs for all kinds of races, religions, orientations, etc. Rockwood earns the spot for one of, if not the best school district in the state of Missouri for its safety initiative, diversity, athletics, and an excellent education system.
