Rockwood Area School District Reviews
Rockwood Area High School is one of the only schools left to not allow access to cellphones during school hours, therefore making students pay attention and socialize rather than looking at a screen. The academics have prepared me to get a part-time job at the age of 14. The faculty and staff care about the students' success as well as their grades. Overall a great school to attend.
This school is located in the small town of Rockwood Pennsylvania. Despite being in such a rural school district. I believe the education is exceptional. The students have opportunities to explore themselves here. The school offers a diversity of classes to explore welding, farming, cooking, music, the arts and many others. The teachers care about the student and have their success in mind. The lunches aren't very good and there is no opportunity to take AP classes, but there are "College Practice" classes available which function similarly to college classes to give student headed for college an idea of what it will be like. I feel the small class sizes and one-on-one time the students can have with teachers make this school stand out and contribute to the success of students.
It has been great! The school district is very easy to work with and welcoming. I’ve never had any problems there.
