Very nice school. Fairly clean building. Some teachers are amazing and go above and beyond to prepare students for their future. On the other hand, some teachers seem to just be there to collect a paycheck since they met the school’s requirements for that position. Classes taught by these teachers are harder due to lack of involvement with students or they seem to not know what they are teaching 100%. While there are a few teachers who make classes hard, many really prepare students for the SAT and for college. The dual enrollment classes also offer students a nice chance to get a head start on college courses.
The best part about Rockridge would have to be the music department. Both the choir director and the band director work hard to make that field enjoyable and successful. As for academics, I've learned a lot but not much that I think would benefit me in my future career. Not to mention all of the violations some teachers have receive. All in all, Rockridge is not a bad school. In the future, I wouldn't be opposed to sending my own children there.
Rockridge High School is in Taylor Ridge, Il. This school is very academically focused and excels in sports. Rockridge offers: National Honors Society, student council, French club, and many many more. The teachers try their best to see you exceed and to watch you grow up. Even after graduation, teachers check in and see how you are doing. There are a few things that need to be changed, like the bugs. There are cockroaches and ants in the school that the teachers have to kill, or dispose of themselves. The student body would also like to see the janitorial staff clean every room diligently. In the mornings there will be dust, dirt and hair or even food, in the room from a day prior or even a few days prior. But over all Rockridge has a lot to offer for every student.
