Rockland Public Schools Reviews

I enjoy how Rockland makes the effort to make every student feel included. No matter what race, ethnicity, or where you are from, Rockland has brought the importance of equality among students and it’s very much appreciated.
The elementary schools are very out of date but most of the teachers are very kind. The middle school is pretty modern and it is very inclusive. Rockland high is small but it has a great community, I would say the best out of all the schools. The teachers are always willing to help. The sense of unity through out all of the schools is visibly present and it is clear that Rockland has a strong knit community.
I loved being apart of Rockland Schools for the past 12 years!! I’m so grateful to have grown up in such a wonderful community!
My experience at rockland schools as a student is very good, but it always could be better. The diversity is very low, and the student environment is judgemental and often a struggle if you do not fit in. Some of the students are difficult and not opened to new friendships and ideas, but school wise rockland gives a good source of academics with good classes for all academic abilities.
One of my favorite things about Rockland has been the teachers I have had and the friends I have made. From my experience, most of the teachers that I have had are understanding and lenient but not too much. The students at Rockland also tend to be more accepting than student from other schools around us. If I were to change one thing, I would have the school give more resources to some programs such as the music and theater programs. A lot more money and emphasis is put into sports than is put into the more creative school activities available at the high school. Other than that, Rockland High School is overall a good school with a good community.
I spent twelve years in the Rockland Public Schools system, and enjoyed my experience with each school that I attended. In particular, I had a great experience in high school, having participated in a variety of extracurriculars such as sports and student council. My teachers throughout my experience were wonderful, and overall the community within Rockland schools is very supportive.
The teachers were so nice and would try and help you in anyways shape and form to make sure you were always okay.
My experience a RHS was very good. The staff is very helpful and understanding with every circumstance in your life. They will make sure you are getting the help you need if you are not succeeding. The students here are generally very accepting and open minded, not a hostile student environment at all.
What I about the Rockland school district liked was the fact that the teachers and staff at each school on every grade were very hands on and helped students who had difficulty learning. Also, students ready to learn will find themselves already prepared to go to college as the school district offers college classes to help with college. However, one thing I would change is how lenient the grading system is in Rockland, as they allow students who would be comsidered failing to pass via curves and extra credit tests. As a result, these students don't truly find motivation to work harder in school.
