Rockdale County Schools Reviews
I recently moved into the area from a very poor school district. There is a major difference because I am going to a private school, and it really prepares you for college better than public school does. It was a hard adjustment to the curriculum, but the teachers will always be there to help you understand if you don't! Currently I am a junior at Young Americans Christian School, and I enjoy this school. We have an SAT prep class that strictly prepares you for the test so that you can get the highest score possible.
Rockdale County is a wonderful district for students to receive quality education that will carry all of its students to great distances and lengths! I have been a student in Rockdale County's system for 12 years and education is something that is taken seriously here. Benefits of education from this district have shown to be tremendous! An improvement to be considered within the education system would be funding for more up-to-date textbooks. Although technological advances have brought virtual textbooks to life, physical textbooks are still important aids for teachers and classroom lessons. Overall, Rockdale County is a fantastic environment for educational purposes!
The elementary schools in Rockdale County are run very well. Teachers engage with the students and ensure a positive learning environment on a daily basis. Students are also clearly excited to learn. However, the middle schools and high-schools alike have poor administration and students that are highly unmotivated. This makes the middle schools and high-schools stressful for students. Overall, I do regret attending public school in Rockdale County.
