The school is very clean and easy to get around. The upstairs is foreign language, art, science, and math. The downstairs is physical education, band, English, photography, and history. It has a great gym and is very big with their sports! Every year, there are a handful of foreign exchange students you get to meet and impact their lives with American culture as they impact you with their cultures! Many clubs and activities, too! There is a vo-tech attaches to the school that offers nursing to HVAC courses. Once junior year starts, counselors and teachers pound college preparedness and how-to’s into rising and graduating seniors.

I liked how the administration was prior to last year. Now, they are getting ridiculously strict with the dress code (open-toed shoes are said to be banned this year) and the school is beginning to favor students who take AP or DE courses rather than help the largely growing student body that is struggling to simply pass classes. Though, the school does allow ample access to computers which is a plus. However, it appears that the guidance department manipulates the students into taking more rigorous courses that only benefit the school instead of the student under the false premise that they won't get into a college otherwise.
It’s encouraging to see such educated and valuable teachers at a rural high school when they could very well be teaching at more prestigious high schools or even at the college level. However, apart from the small percentage of students in AP classes and select honors, RCHS is lacking students who truly commit to a challenging education, and this hurts the entire school.
