Roanoke City Public schools offered me a-lot and helped me grow into the person I am today. I am grateful for the experiences, connections and memories I made there as-well as the school spirit that my high school William Fleming had while I attended. However, One of the main things I hope changed or is being improved upon at my former high school is the amount of effort put into the children's futures and the resources available to students. I felt that only a select few counselors put in effort when it came to helping the students succeed and that much more could have been done in preparing students for the future.

I attended Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke City, Virginia for my junior and senior years of high school (Fall 2015-Summer 2017). Approximately 2300 students were enrolled in the school at the time. There are numerous opportunities to participate in sports, orchestra, marching band, academic clubs, and more. There is never a dull moment at Patrick Henry!
I've been going to this school for 11 years and the system here is great! The Teachers, administration, and staff here take their time to make sure every student has the opportunity to make it in life. Also, they help every student on their level so they can pass and walk across that stage on their graduation day and I'm a graduating senior and I wouldn't have made it this far without the help they provided me!
