Riverdale Local School District Reviews
Riverdale High School is a very small school (graduating classes of 60-70) with a lot of community support both academically and extra-curricular. As a parent, I have enjoyed seeing the interactions my children have had with their instructors as well as their peers. The culture at Riverdale is one of learning, academically and socially. Emphasis is given at every grade level regarding respect for oneself and others, continuous improvement, and learning responsibility.
I graduated from Riverdale Local School in 2016, my sister currently goes there she will be a senior this year. I feel that Riverdale's main focus is on the students which is good, but only on the students who are involved in sports. Riverdale has many students who fall behind because they are not as involved in extra curricular activities and if some focus would go to those students than Riverdale could improve on helping their students.
I loved Riverdale and all of the staff that helped develop my education. The teachers genuinely care about their students and bettering them in the long run. The academics at Riverdale were achievable while also putting positive, challenging pressure on the student to submit the best work they could. I was a member of the music community when I attended Riverdale and there was always a family vibe in the room and everyone was welcomed at all times.
