I feel like I really enjoyed attending Riesel. I came here in 4th grade and am now a junior, I feel the education is good but there is room for improvement in some classes. Most of the teachers are great, there seems to be a large number that leaves at the end of each year and there's always new teachers every year. The lunch is better than most, however many students agree there should be some variety and extra time for lunch. I also wish we used more money that we receive on the arts and other supplies rather than sports. Lastly, I wish we had more clubs/activities to choose from as there are very limited options and I think we should reintroduce home ec, we have a class about children and how to take care of them but not basic skills when living on our own. I feel like reintroducing the class would be useful to students. Overall, these are the only improvements I think we'd need and I still feel like I had a great experience growing up in Riesel and attending school there.
Overall, I really enjoyed growing up in Riesel and going to school there. I feel like I am prepared for college in some ways, but I also feel like I lack the necessary information to be successful later on in life. I would like the school and teachers as a whole to be more organized.
Great school, great education. The small town, know everyone school is exactly what I need to excel. I like that I can take dual credit courses and gain college credit on campus during the day. I also like the fact that I can participate in numerous extra curricular activities. I have the opportunity to gain skills in all sports.
Riesel is a great school. It has a great home feeling to it and you will always have acceptance. I would personally like to see some of the staff to change.
There is no diversity and very poor . Needs more supplies and better teachers. We had a teacher that quit after Christmas break and didn't have a teacher until the week before spring break, administration did not handle the situation very well. They also hired a band teacher to be our algebra teacher and he has no knowledge about algebra so we basically teach ourselves. The administration has heard so many complaints from both students and parents and has done nothing to fix it.
I like that some teachers really put effort into getting students ready for their future. However, I did say some teachers, I wish more teachers would put in more effort into helping students achieve their goals.
I have been in riesel since 4th grade. I have made wonderful friends and a lot of great memories. I was involved in sports since 7th grade. I developed a lot of dedication and put in hard work. They motivate you and push you to your best limits. Riesel is full of fun and exciting things. You will always be supported and helped through everything. Im so glad my highschool expiernce was at riesel. The teachers will guide you through every step, no matter how long it may take you. I most definitely will miss riesel next year. It is going to be hard to let go of all the people and the memories. I will never forget the life i lived while attending riesel elementry to riesel highschool.
It being such a small school and tight community, it is home. I love everything about Riesel High School. The staff is amazing and it really helps you prepare for life outside of high school. With the Dave Ramsey class that Mrs. Kadlecek introduced to Riesel has helped me so much with understanding how to write checks and balancing my checkbook and how to manage my money better. Which has helped me tremendously in college. I will send my children to a small school just like Riesel if not a Riesel because of how amazing the experience was for me.
Riesel is a great, small school where everyone gets along and hard work is taken serious. The teachers are great and will push the absolute best out of you. I recommend Riesel for any student or parent that wants their kid to succeed.
