I've been attending school at Ridgway since Kindergarten and I absolutely love it. Being a small school a strong, tight-knit (but welcoming) community. I never feel pressured to dress or act a certain way and that's because the kids here encourage you to come as you are.
What we lack in diversity, we make up for with a general acceptance of people from all walks of life. I can only hope that our school -- and community -- will diversify a bit more in the coming years.
If you need help, there will always be a teacher who is willing to meet up with you on their own time. Forming personal bonds with those around you provides you with an education in more than just the classes you take.
I have loved my time here at RES, RMS, and RHS and I'm sad to be leaving the district this year. However, I know that I'll be leaving with a strong network people who have supported me and will continue to do so no matter what I decide to do with the rest of my life.

The past 7 years at Ridgway have been overall really good, and I've had many opportunities, both academically and athletically. I've been able to participate in many sports since 6th grade due to the small size of the school. I've done soccer, volleyball, climbing, and basketball. I've gone to State for volleyball and climbing three years throughout high school. Academically Ridgway has several options for advanced classes such as AP or college concurrent, that allow students to earn college credit during their high school careers. The classes are relatively flexible, and a lot of classes are required to graduate but I feel this has prepared me well for college.
Ridgway has an outstanding teacher that really make it a personal experience where you feel like your individual education is cared for by each teacher.
