Great teachers! Tons of options with class choice from regular college prep classes, to Honors, to AP and a few Univ. of Connecticut classes that are available. The theater department is outstanding and the productions are great! I feel safe there and there are plenty of clubs. The cafeteria food is good and a decent amount of choice, but the quality could definitely improve.

The teachers I encountered were all extremely dedicated to teaching and to their students. The one major improvement I would recommend is to improve the guidance counselors and their roles in high school. I was informed that I only needed to take two years of a foreign language and then I could take classes that I had greater interest in after those two years. When it came time to apply for colleges, they always asked why I didn't take more years of a foreign language!
Being part of the Ridgefield school district has been a great experience. My kids started in Kindergarten and there has always been a positive partnership between teachers/parents. This district has instilled good values in children, and takes a firm stand against any forms of bullying and racial inequality. I'm proud to say that we've been a part of this district.
