I have started kindergarten and graduated from high school with honors under Richland School District 2 and I can honestly say that I have had a very pleasant experience. I have been a part of many great clubs and programs such as Varsity Cheerleading, Student Government, and National Art Honor Society. These programs were all ran so well and I would recommend them to anyone. I attended Westwood High School and have to say that their Athletics Department is really good! Especially the football, volleyball, and basketball teams which are awesome with very good records and very fun to watch! Not only are the non-academic aspects great, but the academic programs are just as rewarding. The classes are interactive and the teachers are caring and are great at teaching. And finally, this school district is technology advanced with Macbooks, Mac computers, Chromebooks, and more! You won't regret sending your child, or attending, a school in this district!

Unlike most of my fellow classmates, I was able to attend school in the Richland School District 2 for 5 years; while others may have being going for their entire school years. Nevertheless I still managed to have an unforgetful experience within the district. What I like the most in Richland 2 is the sense of safety I felt in the environment. The district provided trusted security on school campus at all times. They were put in place to serve and protect each school and the students and administrators that are in attendance. One thing I would like to see change is the support system of each sports and activities. It is known that some sports receive more recognition than others and that can be seen in most schools. I would like for the dedication of support to be equally spread out throughout every sport at the schools. Other than that, Richland School District 2 have provided various opportunities to fit the specification that the students desire.
I attend Westwood High School in Blythewood, SC. I transferred here from Sumter High School and it has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me! I love my school because they enforce the rules for safety, there is easy access to supplies, they keep students up to date on all the events. Westwood has many events at school such as college fairs, field trips, and endless clubs to join! Proud to call myself a Redhawk!
