The school here is very good! Though there are various instances of us being "ghetto" here, I felt as though I was connected to this school. There are so many cultures here, so many languages spoken that it made me feel like I could learn so much about the world. The teachers are absolutely fantastic and know what they're teaching and the classes are easy to learn in. Overall, positive experience! There are some cases where resources and college readiness could be polished up, and the area itself is a biiit sketchy but overall, a nice school.

What I like about the Renton School District is that most of the staff is very friendly. I have been in this school district my entire life and there are definitely some negatives and positives about it. My first negative is that Hazen Senior High School has been trying to a flashing light on the road where the crosswalk to the school is. It wasn't their first priority until someone was hit in the crosswalk, due to it being dark. Another negative is that there have been several instances where teachers would gossip about other students, to students. Very unprofessional. However, the Renton School District has some very friendly staff, that I feel comfortable and open with.
The Renton school district is not that good of a schooling system, because it doesn't know how to control their environments and the teachers are not so great at their jobs. The only teachers who exceed in their teachings are the history, language arts, health, and science teachers. My whole high-school life has been an unsatisfying experience and felt like a whirlpool of disappointments. Most of the teachers wouldn't try to help you to their best of their abilities, where they rather just hurry and not fully explain the learning while expecting us to fully understand with the little knowledge that they bequeath onto us. What should change is the learning system and to make sure the teachers are at the level of teaching to where the students are actually learning and interpreting the lessons correctly so that we can use that knowledge on real life obstacles.
