Regional School District No. 16 Reviews
Regional School District 16 has supported me over the many years that I have gone through their school system. Their motivational classroom settings and faculty has inspired me to apply for this scholarship. I think the schools are overlooked in such a small town but they are filled with kindhearted people that genuinely want to see us achieve great things. I remember every name of each teacher that helped me achieve my goals. The most memorable one that comes to mind is my swim coach Mr.Magas. I've known Mr.Magas since sixth grade, when I joined the swim team with high hopes. He encouraged me every practice not only to do my best in the pool but equally knowing how important academics are.
Region 16 is made up of two towns: Prospect and Beacon Falls. Each town has their own elementary school. Prospect has the middle school and Beacon Falls has the high school. The commute between the towns is about 20 minutes since they are not next to each other. The region has great teachers and staff as well as well-equipped buildings.
The teachers in Region 16 were all qualified and enthusiastic about their jobs. I was always challenged in my classes, and the opportunities for growth were endless.
