Most of the teachers are great and extremely helpful. On my first day I had an anxiety attack and cried, but as soon as a student spotted me they took me into one of the classrooms and the teacher was so helpful and knew all the right things to say. She even has candy in her room just for occasions like that! They know high school can be stressful, and they help whenever possible while preparing you for college. The only problem is scheduling. Last year I had to walk from one end of the school to the other for gym. This wouldn't be a problem except I had to also go to my locker and get my gym bag as well (we weren't aloud to keep them in the locker room because some girls got in a fight and we aren't aloud to carry bags around the school in case there are weapons) which makes the walk a total of 5 minutes, but we only have 3 minutes to get to class. My gym teacher would take off points. even though it wasn't my fault.

My school is adequate for a small rural school. The teachers have limited resources and are currently working without a contract but they are still 100% committed to their student's education. Unfortunately, culture is disastrously low, to the point where any attempts from students to gain culture are met with mockery. The students are very one minded and are strongly opposed to anyone or anything that falls outside of what they have declared "normal." However, the main problem with my school is the school board. Recently several teachers quit the school and rather than hire new teachers to fill the holes, the school overloaded the existing teachers and forced them to take on extra classes. The lack of resources, overwork, and the students aversion to academic success cause the overall education at my school to be sub par. However, I must commend the effort that all the staff put into making a school that offers a better education.
Overall, Redbank Valley has a unique teaching experience. The science department and sports programs are amazing, while the administration could be cleaned up around the edges.
