Over my 11 years in Red Oak ISD, I’ve had a positive experience for the majority of my years. Throughout elementary school, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Every teacher and staff member made me feel special, valued, and important. They always catered to my different abilities and skills, and I never felt like I was being held back academically. When I went to the Middle School, it was definitely a culture shock. The whole experience was different. My teachers were okay, and the facility was for sure not at the capacity it needed to be to best serve the students, but it did the job. Half way into my eighth grade year, COVID struck, but the transition to online was super smooth and easy. Now that I’ve been at the high school for two full years, my freshman year online, the teachers have been awesome and clubs, etc, have been lovely. Even with going through multiple surgeries, everyone has always been cooperative and easy.
Red Oak ISD is simply amazing! From a parent perspective I see how invested our teachers are in our students. This district goes above and beyond to meet the needs of our students in all areas. As a teacher, I am amazed by the abundance of resources and the support given to staff, students, parents, and community. This past year has been difficult on everyone. It is a new reality with it's own set of challenges. I believe that ROISD is meeting these challenges with grace and grit. Thank you Red Oak!
Red Oak is a very diverse and education driven school. They prepared me very very well for college! All of my college work seems easy because of the way the school trained me. The school is very welcoming and I made some of the best memories there. Its not always perfect but they try to so as best as they can.
