I have had a great experience in my school district! I have been opened up to multiple new oppoturnities that I would not have had at another school. They are very inclusive and make sure to take feedback from others to improve their systems. I am spending my senior year exaclty how I want to and it is helping me move forward onto my future.
I believe school is a great equalizer. However much hard work and dedication is put in, will determine success for the future. At Ray-Pec, I've personally put in lots of effort to do well and achieve high grades and the school has delivered and shown me that my efforts have been worth it. Aside from academics, there are tons of ways to get involved and do things that you enjoy with other people that enjoy them like participating in clubs, sports, or other activities. I am happy to say that through soccer I've found acceptance and refined my skills in a positive environment. I wish there were more diversity overall, and if I could change some things I would start by changing the grading scale because I feel as though all of the weight is put onto a few tests in the class that if students don't do well cause the hardships in passing the class. Putting more weight into projects and labs would give student a chance to learn in alternative ways. Overall, Ray-Pec is a great school!
I enjoyed my time at this school district due to the nice and caring teachers, they were always incredibly understanding. The school district allowed for students who did not feel comfortable going in-person to stay online, which was very caring. The counselors were also very involved. The school district has amazing sports and activities that have given many students great opportunities. The school's academics are incredible and make me as a student feel much more ready for college. The school itself is kept very nice and clean, the school is not too big and not too small and every student is sure to feel welcome. I enjoyed my time at this school district and have been to other schools that do not compare to this one. I loved the atmosphere and made some great friends while attending this school. The school has more requirements for graduation than most school, which I personally believe is a good thing, in the fact that it helps students feel more prepared for college.
