My name is Thomas and I am an alumni of Prior Lake High School. I loved every single year of attending that school because it did a good job of making you feel included from happy/helpful staff members to a wide range of clubs and activities. I myself, involved in many activities including Tennis, Robotics, National Business Honor Society, and participated in running the school store. I met many people who I am proud to call friends in those activities that I participated in. The school was primarily Caucasians with a hint of other races, and that showed not much diversity. The teachers were so helpful and always there when you needed them and the food was amazing! The classes at the High School prepared everyone for college through a great workload. Prior Lake is statistically very good in terms of academics and I standby and support that because its true. Overall, I highly recommend Prior Lake because it's one of the better high schools in MN.

I loved going to school at Prior Lake, but I also felt very forgotten. I graduated with people that I never even met. I also found that they didn't challenge me enough when I was in high school (I was a straight A student) , so when I went to college, I didn't know how to succeed. The teachers were amazing, but they could only challenge a class so much without leaving someone behind. We had diversity for the most part, but that was how the groups were separated. I hope that now, they are pushing kids more and helping create good habits to help in future schooling
Prior Lake High School I believe to be a good academic school, for being a public school. I also think that the sports teams are very successful. I was one the volleyball team for 3 years, and of those 3 years we went to state 3 times. The facilities at the school are very nice. I think Prior Lake students are very fortunate for all the things the school provides for you. Such as, your own IPad, new jerseys, new sports equipment, cafes, and so on. With that being said, the school has little diversity. If I were to take a guess, I’d say 85% of the students are Caucasian. Overall I think it is still a good public school.
