I have been attending Powhatan County Public Schools since I was four years old. Each year has brought new opportunities and provided a full curriculum. All of the teachers has been very helpful and encouraging in their teaching. The schools do a good job of preparing the students for college. However, the schools don't only focus on college each teacher and councillor helps prepare you for life. The challenges you will face growing up are difficult but they are a lot easier to handle when you know their is a whole group of people supporting you.

Powhatan County schools are a good size. The classes are a good size and the teachers are very caring. They are very welcoming to military families and made us feel we had been attending school in the areas for years. I do wish there were more activities for the kids such as culinary courses, or dance classes. I also would like to see better sucuse prevenion measures and professional development for staff and student.
I enjoy Powhatan County Public School because of the teachers and the administration is very friendly. They also they help those in need by giving the students resources. I'm in the Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, (AJROTC) and the instructors are phenomenal along with all the other teachers. Every time I walk in the school I feel safe and secure because the environment is very safe.
