The staff is generally pretty good, and cares about students. However, when there is problematic staff, it needs to be addressed and the students and parents should be listened to. The extracurricular activities that it offers are well-rounded, but funding should be more evenly distributed. The administration side of things was always a bit stalled, with the superintendent and those higher up earning far more than they should. However, they always put academics first, as far as I could tell. There’s a lot of variety in the classes offered, and they try to help every student succeed in their own ways.

I have been happy with my experience and the education I have received. Since elementary school, I've loved nearly every teacher I've met. The community is warm, and while the schools are competitive and some stereotypes and judgments exist, there is still a certain sense of unity. FCHS has an amazing AP program and music/theater department. There is a wide variety of clubs and activities. While the area isn't overly diverse, the schools I've attended are welcoming and open-minded about different cultures and viewpoints. Fort Collins is very safe. The cafeteria food is average. I've heard great things about the athletic department, with the exception of a few mediocre gym teachers; a variety of sports are offered, and resources like buses and equipment are available. Overall, I see PSD as a very stereotypical example of a slightly above-average cluster of public schools in the suburbs, but the people are amazing and it's a great place to be.
While in Poudre Schools District I attended 3 different schools. My first experience was at Livermore Elementary. It is a small mountain school. I had a great experience there. The teachers were all good and very dedicated. The school was neat and clean. While in middle school I attended Cache La Poudre. It is the smallest middle school in the district. The teachers were nice and helpful. They did not offer very many extra curricular activities or travel opportunities like some of the bigger schools. For high school I attended Rocky Mountain. It is a great school. The building is well maintained . The teachers and administrators are knowledgeable. I feel like they have prepared me for the next step.
