Personally, I think Pottstown is a great school district. It has some flaws, but what school doesn’t? Outside districts look down on our district, but they do not know about it like the students do. There are some amazing teachers that are like parental figures to the students.Everyone gets free lunch and a chromebook to do their work. We have everything we need to be successful!

The students are over-bearing and the teachers are across the board on everything. Some are extremely dedicated to their students while majority either obviously fake it with no remorse or just don't care enough to be interactive. They always try to push for better student academics and more interactive approaches but completely miss, even when their students put out their wants and needs. But never-the-less it isn't just the school the students play a roll too. Their social needs and skills are very underdeveloped seeing as most of them live in a ignorant state of bliss or are too conscience of themselves that they mentally plummet. Now with this being said they do have their good moments too. As a community we are connected through our schools, via sports, holidays, events, and just even the fact we all live and work there together. We understand we are underfunded, misunderstood, and difficult at times but that's just our way as a community, as we put it, its Pottstown Pride.
I had a rough transition in the beginning, but as I have grown, I have found the most talented and supportive teachers. The teachers in this district truly care about their students and are willing to help them with anything so they can be successful. The school itself has a bit of violent disturbances every so often, but if you don't get involved, you will be fine. If you are a good student with a determined mindset, you will flourish here. Also, our Band program is one of the best. Our Band program is continuing to grow and is truly the pride of our town. The school is very diverse which makes for a broader exploration of cultures and backgrounds. Overall, although underfunded, the school provides us students with opportunities to be successful and academic support. I have loved my time here.
