Pottstown School District Reviews
I've enjoyed my time at Pottstown. The English and French teachers are great! The food needs improvement. If you take the time to find your people, you can enjoy clubs/activities. My sister has easily adjusted to college life, so I'm anticipating the same smooth transition.
My experience at Pottstown School District has been great with being involved with clubs such as show choir, Trojans 4 a cure and also student government. I have also been apart of girls varsity soccer for the past four years, which has added to my experience. However being involved has allowed me to view the changes needed. Therefore I would love to see the school district become more involvement and create school spirit throughout the entire district we do not come together as one to support our teams or have encouragement to put together dances, student sections etc. Also our district is very low on funds we can't organize certain things because we "don't have a lot of money" or are not able to be provided teams with warm ups for the sports we are in because we are a low funded school district. I would love to see this change by parents, teachers, and the community coming together as one to allow Pottstown District become a better place.
I wouldn't say Pottstown is the worst school district but it is not the best either. We have a pretty good staff and a very diverse student population. I do think that they do not properly prepare us for college and the real world. Some teachers are too lax with students and don't push them hard enough. Our lunches are very small, more of a snack. Often, they taste artificial and stale. Other than those things, I would say PSD is an okay school district to attend based on the average academics and environment.
