Pottsboro Independent School District Reviews
My experience has been good at Pottsboro. I love the teachers and the faculty. I played football, did track and also powerlifting. The coaches are very involved with the students. The diversity in the school is lacking. This is a change I would like to see happen. I have a little sister and would love for her to not have to experience what I have gone through in a school district that has kids in it that might not understand other races. I am of mixed race and there are VERY few mixed race students in this district. It has made times for me difficult but I have been able to overcome any degrading comments I have received over the years. It has probably made me stronger. I like that my school makes me able to take college classes while in high school. We have a local junior college that I go to during the day and I take two classes each semester.
I went there k-12 without being held back at all. It is predominantly white folks, which is weird to this day still, but that didn't stop me from learning. The teachers are great and I had fun.
I would like the attitude about the school to change about how it feels about minorities and its female students.
