Portageville School District Reviews
My experience with Portageville School District has been phenomenal! I feel that our community supports our school district in all aspects. School functions and events are the main source of entertainment for our small community made of 3,200 residents. I really like the personal interactions between students and faculty. They know our names, our likes/dislikes, and most of the time, they even know our family members! This type of recognition made me feel like I belonged, like I was a real person! My favorite subjects in school were History and Science, mostly because I liked the teachers so well. However, if I had to change something it would be Math. I'm usually pretty good at Math. However, my Senior Year, I feel as if I wasn't being truly taught the material. I feel as if that teacher wasn't adequate. But, don't let this one incident tarnish your opinion of my school district. I'll also add that that teacher is no longer an employee at our school district.
I enjoyed Portageville High School because of the small community atmosphere it provided. Teachers were always available to help after school if students needed. Portageville offered a wide variety of classes and sports. I feel that by going to a smaller school, all students were able to get the attention they needed.
As a proud student of Portageville High, I can happily say that this school is one of the best that i have attended. The faculty are all ready to help students with any problems he or she are having. They prepare us for college, and make sure our safety always comes first. The academic clubs are fun, and are always busy working with the community or preparing to go and compete with other schools. The pride the students exhibit in being a bulldog is supreme. There is no other school i would rather attend.
