The PJ school district should put more money into their children rather than the pocket of the superintendent. Newer books, teachers that care more about tenure, and putting a bigger emphasis on school work over their sports program would do this place a world of good. Prepare the junior and senior class for life outside of high school!

Port Jervis High School is the place to be! You can meet a new person every day and still have more people to discover and communicate with. There's always something to get yourself involved in, year round and all day long!
Port Jervis City School District has some of the most unique characters that you won't meet anywhere else. They care deeply for athletics and are all about having fun. Yet there are some glaring issues. The food is the always the same - while I love the chicken tenders, the pizza's are slices of grease served almost everyday. Since they care so much about sports, they should have hired coaches in order to glean the most from the players. They need to stop coddling students just to make their graduating class percentage - which is only 85% as of last year - higher. This is why kids aren't prepared for college, despite the plethora of college classes. When they take placement tests, students fail miserably due to the inability to skate by like they had in Port. Port has a long ways to go before it can earn a five star rating.
