Going to pompton lakes high school is a blessing. It's not like a regular high school. When you walk into the school it feels like home, every staff member knows your name. Everyone is open to helping anyone who needs a extra hand or just needs a friends. You are never alone. The teachers will take an leap to get you where you want to be with you academics. It's a pleasure being able to go to Pompton Lakes high school, everyone is family and it is more like a second home then a school.
Review Pompton Lakes School District
I graduated from Pompton Lakes High School a few years ago and the High School was enjoyable at times to me. I felt that Elementary School and Middle School weren't as enjoyable in my opinion as the high school was which makes sense since more freedom is given to the students in high school. I had some problems with the teachers over the years and wished that the school would prepare us for real life and college more than they do for the PARCC exams and such.
The school pride is exceptionally high, especially for a small school with about 400 kids in a town of only three square miles. The safety and trust placed within students by the faculty and staff speaks volumes. The Cardinal Pride and atmosphere is apparent during all of our various assemblies, and the school does a good job of making sure everyone's needs are always met.
