Pleasantville school district is wonderful. All schools provide a great learning environment from elementary to high school. The teachers are a mixture of some you love and some, not so much. Overall my experience has been great, probably better than any other school in the area. Great football and lacrosse teams and awesome extracurricular activities. Many clubs to participate in and students are very independent. The arts are also greatly appreciated and well-funded. Every teacher I have had has been very professional and kind. Teachers are also very supportive and try to do everything in their power to make sure their students prosper.

They have good teachers, they have great neighborhoods, they have well kept houses and housing. However, they need to work hard at attracting a more diverse population of students (town issue) and the administration needs to hard at being open and giving to every student not just the popular ones.
As with most of the nicer towns in Westchester County, NY, it is an exceptional school district. The school has the funding and resources to really develop the students into college ready, bright and worldly young women. That being said, as this is a public school, not every student here is Ivy League bound. Every year there are a significant number though. What I mean by this is, if you take advantage of what this school offers, you can easily get to a top college and achieve academic success. But if you're not motivated there's nothing the school can do. The school does also have an enormous special ed department given the school size. Everyone here treats those students well and they have incredible resources. It does not detract from the education of the regular students. Pleasantville, great town, great schools. Send your kids here.
* this district does not have buses. Most students get driven to school or walk as the schools are centrally located.
