Plattsmouth Community Schools Reviews
I felt like I received a pretty good education there. I never had an issue with the faculty or staff. However, I do feel as though support and interest in the Fine Arts from the administration has begun to severely decline in favor of sports, further making students lacking athletic talent/interest feel ostracized and unimportant.
Platttsmouth High School offers a large variety of both academic and varsity sports clubs. Academically challenged students who seek the challenge. Teachers and staff are very involved with the students and create a successful learning environment. Plattsmouth offers the learning academies for courses of study that help to prepare each student for college and a career path of their choice. Students are recognized for their achievements both in the classroom and extracurricular activities. Parents are encouraged to be very actively involved in their students activities and have frequent contact with the staff. Plattsmouth recognizes a 4.0 gpa scale, but offers multiple honors and advanced placement courses.
Plattsmouth Community Schools are overall a good system of schools for children. They have a good variety of students between races, religion, and athletes versus nerds. The teachers in the High school are really good with sport conflicts when they occur and are willing to help students out if they ask for help. However, the school lunch is horrible. I recommend bringing food from home since the tater tots and french fries are a little under cooked and the pizza is usually burned.
