The district is small and close-knit. The advantages of this are you're able to get to know all your fellow students and the teachers know you on a first-name basis.
I feel the instruction is more personalized and intimate.
But, being a small, rural district means there's room for improvement especially in the variety of classes and programs.

They have excellent teachers, but terrible money management habits and food. They are selective about what sport gets new stuff and favor the football team only. They are terrible when it comes to bullying and even worse with getting parents involved in their kids lifes
I attended Platte Canyon High School for three years and graduated in 2015. The teachers at the school were always supportive and encouraged you to always your best. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and how supportive our principal and vice principal were. However, I wish they had more resources to deal with bullying and cyber-bullying. When my sister and I were bullied, the only thing the school did was tell the student that it was not a good choice and not to do it again. I wish there were more repercussions for bullying. I also think it would be a good idea to have an incentive for students to get good grades and want to do well in school.
