Platte Canyon provides for rigorous academics that any knowledge seeking student would find exceedingly helpful. The care of the teachers for students would be prevalent to any outside source, and everyone has equality of opportunity. However, there is little diversity in the school, not to say the school does not provide a welcoming aura. IN fact, the school recently created a GSA club, a Gay-Straight Alliance club, which did indeed aide in expanding a safe place to let diversity flourish. All in all the experience Platte Canyon has to offer is one of fantastic learning environment and a safe, enjoyable schooling experience.

Platte Canyon is perfect, it is rigorous and I love it. I would never change a thing about it. Everyone is helpful and friendly and I always feel confident and safe at school. They are always improving and asking for student input. The teachers are the very best and care about the students. The variety of extracurricular activities are amazing.
The district is small and close-knit. The advantages of this are you're able to get to know all your fellow students and the teachers know you on a first-name basis.
I feel the instruction is more personalized and intimate.
But, being a small, rural district means there's room for improvement especially in the variety of classes and programs.
