I have been going to schools all over the Plano Independent School District since 4th grade. I started at Carlisle Elementary, and was on the track to Plano Senior High School, when I got accepted into the Health Science Academy at Williams High School. From the central side of Plano, to now the East side, I can truly vouch for the high quality in academics, peers, and school involvement. The fact that Plano ISD has two magnet academies is awesome! Both the IB World School and HSA are part of the reason that Plano is so successful, and I definitely believe they have prepared us for our futures.

My high school experience at Plano Senior High School was excellent. The classes prepared me for higher level learning. The Plano Independent School District provided outstanding resources and tools that helped me to succeed in growing my knowledge. The teachers were phenomenal in providing the skills I need to be successful in life. The academics were challenging which helped prepare me for college in managing time and learning study methods that were best for me to meet and exceed school objectives. The school culture was very diverse and met the needs of all the different cultures of students attending. There were several clubs and activities offered to students including theater, DECA, HOSA, national honors society, and several more. There were also opportunities for students to create their own club of interest. Overall, my high school experience has helped me adapt to higher education initiatives.
I personally like the schools. However, recently the amount of intellectuals entering the schools seems to be dwindling exponentially, particularly with the newer younger generation. The amount of my juniors that are digressing has been increasing. The quality of the teachers are on average fairly excellent. Course diversity is also quite high with many classes that allow for students to explore multiple different fields of study ahead of time with a great many of the courses being advanced placement or college readiness classes. The schools are very safe however that has been slowly declining in my point of view due to increase of drug culture. There is also a great amount of clubs following middle school such as NHS, Art Club, Habitat for humanity and a plethora of others. The district keeps the facilities updated every few years in my experience anywhere from 2 to 7 years usually here and there not fully changing the resources but enough to keep everything up-to-date.
